Whats the best temp for a mixed reef?

Well I guess the title says it all. I had my tank at 81, but someone said thats to high. It is at 77-78 now, that seems cold to me, but I dont have to swim in it so I dont know?

81 Should be fine as long as it's reasonably stable and doesn't spike up much higher. I'd call that the high end of "safe".

Of course if it's at 81 now, it may want to go higher in the summer.

I like the 77-79 range.

^ 78 is my target temp. It goes to about 77 at night, and about 80-81 at the end of the light cycle.

I thought the 77 was fine, but some zoos look funny, and not HA-HA funny. Maybe something else is going on. Its only one rock, but I dont know what else could be doing it.

Thanks Jay, I dont know what it is. I am going to take the rock out, and check it out. I have had the rock for about 6mos, and the zoos grow like weeds. They are always out, but for 2-3 days they have been closed, and the ones that are out dont look that good. All parm seem OK.
