Whats this coming out of my zoas

Its red.. appears stringy but doesnt look like worm. its almost carpeted itself between the zoa colony .. its not slimy...feels kinda toothbrush bristles to touch..

Red turf algae maybe.
Zoas don't look too happy.

no usually this thing doesnt seem to bother zoas...the zoas are closed because i was doing some maintenance.
