when to put a very small fish into a tank?

I went to Skiptons last week and bought a baby goby. It is probably less than 1 inch and still pretty thin. He has been growing and eating well, currently it resides in a breeder cage (net type) with some macro for cover. He seems quite content in there and I am in no rush to put him into the tank was just looking for suggestions.


My question is when (size wise) should I put him into the main tank with the following fish.

Orchid Dotty
Flame
Coral Beauty
Scooter Blenny
Yellow Tang
Electric Damsel
pair of Maroon Clowns

I put the small fish or big in when the light are out, that way the fish are in bed sleeping, so they don't think is food for them. And less stressful for them and others.

Hmm.. I never thought of putting new fish in after bedtime.. makes sense.
