Where to buy flexible PVC......

Where do people buy flexible PVC, I am guessing this is an aquarium specific item because at both HD and Lowes they looked at me like and IDIOT for asking if they carried it. Anybody know of a place in the Providence area that sells flexible PVC?

Thanks

you can get it at lowes, also known as spa flex.

But you would probably be better off with copper:D

My emergency DIY pluming repair project this past weekend was so much fun I'm going to redo all my tank plumbing with copper!

:D

I've seen spaflex at Lowes up this way.

If they looked at you funny, then they didn't know what they were talking about, and therefore probably wouldn't know flexible pvc if it fell on them.

Look around all the other flexible tubing, you'll see it if they have it.

If you have any time to wait at all, as they are very fast, order from savko plastics. www.savko.com. about 1/2 what you will pay Lowe's. some of their people are totally clueless. I had my Mom go there for me a couple weeks ago and ask for sand. they said they had no idea and as far as they knew they never have carried it. I went two days later and they had 5 pallets of the stuff, as they always do. just not well trained associates........

I have got the time to wait but once I get it drilled I'd hate to see it setting there empty. Now once I got to Lowes and price it there that might change my mind.

The lowes up this way told me they didnt have it but when I went in there I found it up the top of the shelves.

CRA also used to stock spaflex, cheaper than Lowes.... give them a ring

CRA....I thought I saw some there....looks like I might be heading there to get the tank drilled anyways, might as well get the spaflex while I am there.

Yea... go to the flexible hose section at lowes and look up high on the top shelves. Almost sure to be there. (No matter what the 'sales associate' tells you. Check Savco or US Plastics website before you go so at least YOU know what you're looking for (even if the Lowes people don't).

Chances are neither Lowes (home of Jimmy Johnson) and HD have no idea because they are not plumbers. Your lucky to get waited on either one. You'd be better off checking with a plumbing supplyer.

Yup that is where I found it too. I think I may have drooled a little. At the time they had 1" and 3/4" in stock.

There are a few good sized rolls at CRA but not sure what sizes?

Lowes blows.........

Well that was a complete waste of gas to make another trip to Lowes, should have just ordered Spaflex online.

Looked around and found that they had some at Lowes. Asked a "Sales Associate" aka complete idiot if they had 1 inch Spaflex as the tag was a little torn and from the ground I couldn't read it. He then climbed the ladder and said "Yes, how much you need?". I reply "6 feet of 1 inch", it is cut and tagged and he walks away. Shortly after Jen noticed on the "1 inch" Spaflex that it was really 1 1/2 inch:mad:.

So looks like I'll be ordering online...really glad Jennifer noticed the size before we bought it. I'd been really pissed if I would have had to make a trip to take it back.

Wow Barry good thing Jen noticed that. You would have been thinking about plumbing the tank your whole ride home only to be crushed by the intelligence of lowes employees.

Thanks for the offer Jay, the stuff I ordered online should be here next week about the same time as the bulkheads that had to be ordered.
