Where to buy wild live rock?

I want to buy a few lbs to help seed my new tank. Heard of a few vendors selling aussie rock and perhaps Solomon islands.

Any local shops bring it in? It looked like $25/lb (yikes) online. But maybe ok if just getting 5lbs (one rock) or something.

Not really into the florida keys mariculture rock or gulf liverock. I want wild pacific.

Any tips?

Give Kevin a call at @All Things Aquatic. They are restructuring and I know he had a couple big tanks full of several kinds of rock. Most were on the large side.

I know the OP didn't want Florida rock, but there are others who might be interested. About a month ago I bought a 5 lb Box of Rox (premium rock) & a Sand & Rox Box for my 25g from Tampa Bay Saltwater. It was to supplement my current aquascape & add some new life to the tank.

I was extremely happy with the quality of the rock. Covered with multiple forms of macroalgae, red, & orange sponges, various filter feeders, coralline etc. Had a limpet, small brittle stars, amphipods & some things I have no clue about. Also a tiny red crab which I accidentally crushed while moving the rocks in the box. And a 2" mantis shrimp which I luckily was able to rehome to its own tank. (I might have a pistol shrimp too, as I hear single clicks in the tank after the mantis was removed).

My only frustrating complaint was that I specifically asked for some longer branching type rock to be included, but all I got were a bunch of round/rectangular rocks that I've had a difficult time epoxying together to make decent structures with. I got an apology & an explanation that most of the nano rocks are that shape, & was offered a credit on a future order.

That said, the life on their rock was very, very good.
