Why Are Encrusting Bases Important?

Got a Reg Dragon frag from a member and it did not survive the dip. However, if it cannot survive the dip, it doesn't belong in my tank.

I use Bayer dip as well. I cut off the frags base and put them into my quarantine tank and grow them out.

I use bayer. Stuff works awesome and i have yet to kill a coral from it.
