I have always had my sump in the basement and used a reef ready Durso drain. Needless to say you could always hear my tank (no matter what house) throughout the house.
While I was picking up some frags from Joe the other week I was amazed how quiet everything was; the upgrade began.
After trying to place a siphon and emergency drain together (should have done more research), I drilled a third hole through the floor for a designated siphon line and ran my 3/4 return over the back of my tank.
My tank is whisper quiet now and I have more flow for my Frags. Not to mention my frags are doing spectacular.
I don’t post a lot but just want to say thank you to everyone for helping to provide the knowledge and amazing corals that are growing in my tank.
