Why is my coral color like this ?

New grow has much brighter color than existing core piece. The center mass used to have great color,but yhe fade away.

Will the core piece gain its bright color back too ?

I find that some SPS will have much brighter or lighter color with new growth then darken as it aged.

I have a superman montipora and it originally wasn't very bright and now the new growth is very bright and the old still dull in color, it's weird.

Is that a sunset montipora? I had bought a frag of that before, person had it under moderate lighting. It was brown, when I put it in my tank with strong led lighting all new growth colored up beautifully. The original frag area took awhile to color up, but it did eventually

looks like a sunset to me I just got some that were also Brown waiting to see what happens with the color under my 150 watt metal halide

yup, it is sunset monti. The original frag owner had it under t5, but i have LED. Perhaps that is the reason.
