Will adding LR kick off another cycle???

My tank has been cycled and I have a clown in there now with a small clean up crew. They have all been doing well for about three weeks (the clown is a pig). I want to get a little color in the tank so I was going to start with some easy coral like mushrooms or zoas. Before I do so I want to beef up my live rock situation.

My question is if I buy cured live rock from my lfs, transport it in a bucket of saltwater and put it in the tank as soon as I get home will there be any die off or will there be a second cycle?

if the LR is cycled, it won't cycle in your tank.

you may get a little algae bloom from some die-off, but not a cycle

Yeah a slight die off may occur. But not enough to cycle again. As long as you aren't triple-ing your rock weight, the biological filter already established should be able to hand any die off changes!

Just make sure all of the rock is cured or you will run into a problem.

What proportion are we talking about? How much new live rock going in vs. existing live rock. If it's relatively small it should be fine anyhow. If it's a large amount, then if you really want to be safe, and if it's an option, maybe buy the rock in 2 or 3 batches and add them a week apart or something.

I have 20 lbs in a 29 gallon now and wanted to put in another 10. Maybe I should do 5 lbs this week and 5 lbs next week? I called the lfs today and they assured me that their LR is cured. I wonder if the LR never really hits the air for more than a few minutes if it will cause die off? Thoughts?
