Has anyone had trouble with Won Brothers Titanium heaters??
I have had 2 fail in the last 3 months. One was a digital readout 350w unit that just stopped working and the display just had a line on it. That was ok because it was the one i use to make up water for changes. I have 2 non-digital 250w Titanium units in my 125g Fowl. Well yesterday I wake up and the tank is silent.I look things over and realize the GFI Plug tripped. A little more investigating and I find that one of the heaters is tripping the GFI. I unplug it everything working. I am not sure how long the power was out but when i get home from work my tomato clown looks bad eyes are gray and bulging  .Woke up this morning tomato is dead and I can't find my Anthias or Yellow Headed Sleeper Goby and my Long Nose Butterfly is acting weard.Water test fine I assume the power was out long enough to cause oxegyn problems Hope the rest of the fish do ok. Sorry for Venting but I an curious to know how many other people have had trouble with Won brother heaters.

sounds about right to me!

There were a lot of people on Reef Central complaining about the temperature controllers failing and overheating the tanks.

I have 2 250's in my tank and have not had any problems. But, I use a Ranco controller to manage the tank temp rather than using the heaters themselves.

I have both the digital 250w and the regular titanium 100w and both have worked flawlessly. I added a 100w in the overflow area of my tank though just in case the main heater goes out. Backup never hurts :)

I change my heaters every two years, before they fail. Just my 2 cents. After hearing all the horror stories about loosing whole tanks over a $40.00 it's cheap insurance. I also test them overnight in a bucket of water to check the temp. and check the calibration. A little paranoia never hurts in this hobby.

There has been a lot written on the won heaters if you do a search on RC you could read all day what it all comes down to is basically what you have here.
Weather it be their Digi or analog the temp controllers are junk, however their heaters are very good. I have a couple of the 500s that I added a ranco temp control to. This system has been running perfect for almost a year.
The controller is about $60. at Grainger and if I remember right will carry 1700 watts of heaters. I used a plug strip so I could add multiple heaters.
