yellow boring sponge

Has anyone found a way to get rid of yellow boring sponge? It is taking over my tank. I've read that if exposed to air it will die. There is no way that I can remove all of my rock to accomplish this. Any "magic" bullet out there? Thank you.

Over 20 years I've found it's very difficult to kill. It usually grows in places under the rocks away from direct light. Filter feeders and sponges are a sign that your tank is doing well although they seem like a pest. Post some pics so we know what you're up against.
