yet another basic thing I missed

This is trivial, but just in case anyone else does not know this.

You don't have to reach in and move the mag float when you are cleaning around a corner of your tank. When you move it around the corner on the outside, the inside one will follow it.

I wish I knew this 6 years ago. I mean there are alot of things I wish I knew then that I know now - but how could I have missed this basic everyday procedure!?! Are there directions on the package I missed? Anyone else care to admit they missed this one?

I figured this out pretty quickly.But I have had a PH take it away on me.
Getting pretty good at it now.I can even shake the sand off it by pulling the outside one off,letting it float,then attaching it again.Now if I could just figure a way to keep snails from hitching a ride.lol
