YWG - Mouth Sore to Full on tissue degeneration

I picked up a small yellow watchman goby to replace my sumpjumper randalls goby. I noticed he got a sore on his lower lip the first 24 hours. Now 48 hours later he has full on tissue degeneration. it is no longer a small lump on the lower lip but white across the whole jaw up into the eye. There is skin melting off, and the eye probably has little to no visibility. i feel bad for the little guy, im sure there isn't much I can do.

You can try to remove him and treat him with some antibiotics in a hospital tank. Unfortunately, I don't think he is going to make it. At this point you should think about euthanizing the poor little guy. Clove oil is sometimes used to anesthetize fish but your local Veterinarian may be able to provide you with something more effective (Benzocaine).
