Zeovit versus NP Biopellets

I have a 180 Gallon mixed reef that is a little over a year old now. The last few months I have started to have some algae issues. My nitrates have always been 0 and continue to be non existent, but I'm sure phosphates must be available for the algae.

I have been researching the basic 4 of the zeovit system, and the NP Biopellets.

I currently dose 2 part from bulk reef supply, and do daily small water changes so I don't mind daily maintenance of 10 to 15 minutes.
Looking for feedback on the positives and negatives of both treatments.

you would have enjoyed the presentation Murray Camp gave on the Probiotics this past summer. While I think the premise is similar, the biopellets are consumed by the bacteria as a food source, while the zeo rocks are a medium for the bacteria to grow. Both systems need aggressive skimming, and (as you indicated) daily maintenance. The Zeo system also has a coral feeding amino acid mix....

I have been running my 120 on the zeo system for 18 mos. I dont mind the dosing part ,it only takes a couple minutes a day.The supplements seem expensive but last a long time since you are only dosing drops. I would recomend checking the zeovit forum for details and take it slowly, it isnt a miracle cure but many people have been successful using this method coupled with good husbandry practices. I cant speak about pellets, I have no experience with that system.
