Almost, almost there

& the fun begins!!! $$$$$ fill er up!!!!!!

Way to go!

Congrats!

it just took a little longer than we planned :p

Many thanks to Greg (Delta) and Maurod, as well as JohnK for some timely bulkhead drilling.

Still a little cloudy, but almost there.

got some lighting and canopy to do before the corals/fish come upstirs....and got to get parameters correct after adding 180 gallons to my system today. temp will be up to 77 by the morning.

the BEAN overflow is dead silent, and can't even be heard at all with the blower from the stove on, or if someone is taking a shower upstairs.

totally wiped, and in theory work starts in 8 hours.

appreciate all the positive karma. got to change my sig soon

Way to go Jay! Look at all that potential :)

well, the cold hard light of day has led me to believe that I need to run some carbon and skim the crap out of the system.

all the damn sand in the tank and new PVC added yesterday is making the skimmer virtually useless.

Goosfraba? Shouldn't you be saying 'patience, OLD padawan'?

Good to see you finally back in the game!! Time to sit back and start saving for the auction to stock that puppy :)

Looking good,Jay.
Are you going to stay away from Xenia this time around?
Just curious,as if I remember correctly. It would grow like crazy in your other systems.

I am an olde skool reefer, so there will be xenia in the new system...but NO ANTHELIA.

none of my xenia made it through the great tank crash of 2009 :(

This is going to be a true mixed reef. It will be good to be going to visit the stores again.

Considering the only issue we had was the glue on you skimmers air intake needed to be redone(1 minute setback) patients is all that is needed.

John's timing was perfect too in and out before we got back from the store, he kept us on schedule...well as on schedule as we were going to be on :)

What are the chances of Mauro coming back to MA on the same weekend we were getting the tank going? Given than, let me just say I am very happy we were all able to just enjoy a tank build with ZERO club business for the first time in a very very very long time :D
