I am in a process of build a new tank and I hasn't decide if I go with glass or acrylic what you guys recommend me? And why I should use it? Please explain me what you think of each other..
Thanks.

I personally like glass, because acrylic does scratch much easier (or so ive heard). IMO the only advantage to acrylic is a lighter tank, but that only helps you for about 1% of time you will have the tank.. i mean how often are you going to be moving your empty tank around. JMTC

acrylic is stronger than glass. If the tank is big, go with acrylic. Acrylic insulate better and save your heating bill in winter.

For it is Glass everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Acrylic scratches way to easily there is a reason the majority of tanks are glass.

If you are anal/OCD then acrylic might work for you, if you tend to put things off forget it and go glass.

If you have an issue with the insulation factor of acrylic over glass you have bigger issues than heating the tank.

I am not to frienly with scrtches so if glass will be my option who know a goood glass aquarium manufacturer around this area that can custom tanks the way I want to.

I have had both. My current tank is glass. My next will be acrylic. I have scratches on the glass and no option to buff them out. Just my 2c.

if 7" doesn't kill you on height Marineland makes a 200g 48"x36"x27"

I don mind the extra 7" it will be nice a 200g, but my plan is to have 4 side view on the system so it will have to have a center overflow on it and i don't know if marineland has it on that tank.

Go glass, I didn't and I regret it. Sratches are the main reason and people have told me my MP40 sounds louder on acrylic than glass.

glass glass, and glass. algae growing in your scratches will drive you crazy.

I have a glass 80 gallon no scratches its nice, easy to clean.
In the process of a 160 bull nose acrylic and it is.clearer than glass and you can buff out scratches
