biocube skimmer help

ok the skimmer has been running for about a week now, but all im getting for skimmate is green mildew looking stuff. i want the black stuff like when i had my 120 with the reef octo 250. i dont know if it is becuase my tank is not fully stocked or what. but my tank has 1 firefish, 1 turbo snail, 1 blue legged hermit, and corals. i feed every other day and i have cheato in the back part of my tank(nano cube). there is still some stuff on top of the water i want it all gone. i have two power heads blowing at the top of the water so it would get mixed in but it seems like the skimmer isnt getting all the stuff out. any info would be cool thanks

No i didnt i feed myss shrimp and i rince it. I dont have algae or anything i just think my bioload is realy small so that is why its not pulling that much gunk out

i just think biocube Skimmer is bad.
