Best salt mix to use?????

I had always used IO RC, but was sick of a brown slime in the buckets. I switched to TM Pro, but was getting inconsistent batches. I am now using Red Sea Pro? I like it, but I do get white residue in my barrels. So I guess there is no perfect salt. When I went out to WI to Live Aquaria they have three huge holding tanks, (maybe 1000gal ea) and they look like big buckets of IO RC, so I guess if it works for them is must be ok. Salt choices are like opinions, everyone has one that they think is right.

I got tired of bad batches or the possibility of inconsistency in the bucket. Switched to ESV. Costs a bit more. Takes a little more time to mix up the water. But it is spot on every single time. Mixes perfectly clear within minutes and no residue on mixing barrel or equipment.

That being said, for a FO tank, I think anything, short of Morton's, will be fine.

I'm for cheap or on sale.
The only salt I will never use again has a Chain stores name on it.

Same here, I switched from Coral Pro, just finishing up my first 200 gallon kit and love the salt. The mixing process is not as much of a pain I thought it would be. Parameters have been dead on as advertised and the mixing bucket (I mix 30 gallon batches) are spotless. I've also noticed less salt creep.
