Loose Mushroom

I got a hairy mushroom from a friend. I have never done this myself but have heard if it being done. I placed it on the rock I chose and put an elastic band Loosely just to hold it in place. How long should I leave the elastic on to give it time to take hold to the rock?

As long as it takes.

Seriously, it's all up to the shroom.

If the elastic doesn't work try using some lace or something to wrap around the shroom/rock and use an elastic to hold the lace in place. I had to do that after a loose shroom kept taking itself off the super glue. Took 3-4 days before it stayed on the piece of rock rubble.

I have had success with using a needle and thread for loose mushrooms. Put the thread through the mushroom once then wrap and tie the thread around the rock. Usually attached within a week.
