Baby boy = Under the sea theme bedroom!

Interesting... I was under the impression I would be spending a lot of time staring at it trying to get the baby to sleep. no? lol

The more I think of it, the more I would want it to be a simple - easy to care for tank. Like you said, two tanks may be much, especially lugging sw up and down stairs. I'm thinking either going pico size sw, or perhaps neon fw.

U are right there. Wish I had one when my son was younger. Watching espn on the hour loop gets old

Congrats on the new addition.
Any concern of the strong lighting on the infant eyes? I know I wouldn't want MH or strong LED in my newborn's(If I have one) bedroom.

Find a way to Secure it to the wall. I just called my dad and he told me thats what he did with a 100 gallon tank he had when I was little.

Congrats on the baby! I've learned pretty much everything is safe before they learn to crawl. When they begin walking forget it. The tank will be cool for about 8-10months then you will wanna move it. Unless you have amazing baby proofing skills. When they are 3-4 it becomes fun again they can respect some basic rules i.e. don't bang on glass, don't throw stuff in there, don't yank on cords, etc.

If I have the aquarium up on a beauro where baby cannot reach it should be ok though right?

Congratulations!

To keep things simple I would go with a FO or FW tank but definitely keep the tank up higher on a stable and sturdy stand so it can't get knocked over or touched.

One of my first "Daddy of the year awards" came when my 1yr old pulled a cord coming out of the tank and a glass heater flew out and broke over her head. A tank on the bureau may be just fine, make sure it's sturdy and keep wires hidden. Best advice I can give don't underestimate your kid.

Thanks so much for all the advice. I didn't even consider FO... That may be a good way to go with less maintenance then a reef and I could always turn it into reef when kid gets older if I want.
