Buying Stand Help

I'm currently waiting on a Reef Savvy 60 cube to be built. In the meantime, I'm in the need of finding a local builder for a stand. What I'd really like to do is get a steel stand and have it powdered coated. Then skin the steel stand. The problem is I'm relatively new to the area and have no clue where to go for getting a steel stand built. In addition to that, I live in an apartment and I'm pretty sure my neighbors wouldn't like me running saws (just a guess). While my tank will be 24x24 I'd like the stand to actually be 48x24 to allow for an upgrade in the future and a larger sump. So where do you guys get a custom steel stand built and what about ball park pricing? Or if you happen to have one for sale PM me :).

Thanks,
Matt

Matt, I am in the same situation. This is not an endorsement as I have not had a stand made yet, but I have been talking to Rich (metalfab on here) about having a steel stand made. He was nice and very responsive to my questions. I hope to have my stand made in the coming weeks.

Thank you very much. I have reached out to him. Have you finalized the design for your stand? I'm searching through a ton of steel stand threads and I'm always looking for something unique.

Somewhat. I am planning on a standard 6' 125g which is only 18" deep. The problem I was having is I want to use a 75g (also 18" deep) for the sump and ATO reservoir and also house a 20g H for a hospital tank all inside the stand. This made using wood more challenging. I think I am going with an offset center brace to allow for the 75g and will likely use 1x2" tubing for the top support since there will be a relatively long unsupported stretch. Although if you look at the "commercial" stands many span 6' with just angle instead of tubing with no center supports.
