Tanked last night

Did anyone see the reef tanks on Tanked last night.

I wish the showed the filtration, ETC.

The lights were very cool in the 400 gal tank! I wish I could get my Leds to have a storm mode like that!

Also, did you see the corals in 400 gal tank? I know they use Nutra Sea Water, live sand and live rock, but that is quite a bio-load for a tank that just got set up!::

No, I usually catch the repeats late at night? Any idea what episode for which season?

I seen it, It's time lapse... They didn't just throw everything together in 20 min like it looked... they let it cycle over 3 weeks.

It was a new episode last night.

I seen it, It's time lapse... They didn't just throw everything together in 20 min like it looked... they let it cycle over 3 weeks.

I figured that but still, three weeks for that many fish, coral, ANEMONES and misc invertebrates seem like an extremely short amount of time.

I used it on my 180. Never saw a spike in anything. I would recommend it to anyone!

they did a full cycle, The "fung shue" tank they did a couple years ago crashed in a month and they used nitrifying bacteria as well... They did this one right, last true reef they did created way too much negative publicity.. they absolutely did a proper cycle on this one.

There is a lot more to getting a reef tank mature and stable than just the nitrification cycle. Food webs, filter feeders, microfauna.... Not so easy to mesasure but very important to true stability
