the best LED for my money Ai Nano LED or the Nano Razor R420R 16000K

I recently moved and found my 14 Gal Bio Cube in its box with about a gallon of water in it. When my ex and I split She killed the tank and I lost intrest in it. It sat in the box for over 2 years. After moving I got the itch again for a nano reef. I cleaned it with water and vinager bath and have been water testing it for the last few days. Both ballasts were ruined and I think the lights are bad too. The only light I can get to work are the LEDS. This is an Oceanic branded Bio Cube.

I want to go with a light that I could use if / when I get a bigger tank. I like the cube look. I see some people have and use both lights on here and would like Input on there experience on the lights. I don't want to do an led upgrade in the hood as I want to take it off so I can add equipment/sump to it.

I haven't decided on what to use for sand. I found a place that sells Cariban Sea Hawaiian Black and IndoPacific Black sand. Has anyone used either or both? I want something that focuses on the coral and noth blinded by the sand.

Thanks,
Chris

another thing to consider is that the Radion G3 just came out, so a lot of people will be dumping their older Radions for cheap

Look at the reefbreeders line of LEDs
I have a photon 48 and love it
They have smaller units that are in your price range

^^ this. But you can find them on eBay for $30-40 cheaper. They go by the name: Evergrow (I think)
of course, you might not get the same warranty.

ReefBreeders I would recommend also - I have a couple of lights by them and found their customer service to be top notch (and these things are bright!)

I got my ReefBreeders Photon24 the same time as s_kelly and have been very happy with it so far. Time will be the true judge on it, but I don't think I've seen one negative review from owners. I can also vouch for the positive customer service. The RB owner (Logan) has returned any emails I've sent him and also sent me a new hanging kit without hassle when they shipped my fixture with the wrong one.

I like the amount of growth in your cube. Are the lights dimmable? Will I need a separate controller? What I like about the other lights is I won't need something like a reef keeper light for it. The razor and the AI both have built in controllers.

+1 for the reefbreeder.
After i ordered mine i called and Spoke to Logan asking if they could ship out sooner than the 1-3 week shipping time the site says. He sent it out within the hour and since they're in CT i had it the next day.
Plus the ability to change out LED's on your own and still keep the warranty is worth big points imo.

I can get the link to a AI nano for under three hundred . It is brand new just a open box sale. I am buying the same open box sale. Too . I will post the link as soon as I find it.

Yes...they are dimmable. You need timers to on/off .

I have my RKL instead of timers but the main use is to control heaters and pumps.

I looked at the Rb lights. I have a little time to make sure what I want. I picked up some RODI/salt and a bag of black Hawiian sand today. I think I have too much sand as I got the 20lb bag. now that its "wet" cant wait for the fun to start

I found the AI nano for 279 shipped to my door from reefgeeks. The downfall is the arm and remote are separate. They also have the Razor nano for 289 shipped and needs nothing extra. I guess you could say I like the features of the AI light but still on the fence
