Finally taught my Mandarin Dragonet - to eat frozen brine.

This took about a month... and allot of live food - before he would accept frozen.

Now, he just needs a jet pack to catch more of it... little guy is a little slow at it...LOL.

Disclaimer: The fish or fishes in this photo bare no resemblance to any picture I could take - I take horrible tank pics.

Stuck it in his face with a straw until - he took a bite whether to push it away or eat it.
Light dawned on the little guy's head " Hey this is good ..."

Now when he see's it at feeding time he swims after it as it free floats and eats the frozen brine.
I have to turn the MP 10s down as it's floats too quick for him.. but he's getting quicker in catching it.

That's awesome, congratulations! Mine just started eating frozen recently, too. I was worried because he was so skinny, it made my eyes tear up when he actually ate a good amount of them one night.

I just feed live black worms to everything I have in my tanks, makes it easy and everything goes nuts for them, ruby scooter, my Mandarins, even my copper band loves them, hell some of the corals even tackle them. took about a week for the scooter and mandarins to get the hang of sucking them up.

Are these worms the ones called Tubifex ?

I order 3/4 a lb and keep them in a mini fridge, last months, with week water rinsing from the tap. Fish show great colors, fats happy and no phos being added to the tank. I buy mine here http://shop.easternaquatics.com/

Thanks for the tip where to buy it. From the site picture, these are Tubifex. I was confused buy the name "black worms" when they are really brown . As it can be seen in the site picture.

Yes, they are great food !!!! I used it a lot and stored as you described.

Thanks again

Edit: I am wrong. They are different. I found this:
