Blue Background - Help

So I decided I want to go with a blue background. But I'm not sure whether to go with a light blue or a darker blue. What do yall think?

I hate light blue or medium blue, it looks so fake IMO. I would go with the darkest blue you can get at the paint store like a midnight blue if you're set on blue. I prefer black because it makes the colors on the corals seem brighter behind a dark background and it gives that infinite depth look at least until it gets covered in coralline algea .

I do like black and agree that it'll make colors pop but i want that natural ocean look with blue.

i would agree that going with a dark or royal blue looks best. light blues make the tank look a little more fake in my opinion.

Go with darker blue - I aimed for dark medium on mine and with the lights on it looks lighter.

How about the light blue Petco, LFS look?

I use black. To me it's just kind of disappears and lets you really focus on the coral.
