I thought I was doing good with 3-4 new eyes... bdaley is kicking my butt though based on what he said at the meeting (12 new eyes!).

I'm starting to think this grow wasn't fair competition... the more eyes/bigger the colony u start with, the more growth u will have...Maybe I'm wrong though. I started with one and have another one on the way now.

KidsX have a really weirdly shaped frag... kinda like a scorpion with a tail pointing up. It had one eye to start... think it's got 2, maybe 3 now.

Luck of the draw I guess.

I think your reading post #22 wrong. The number on the right is current # of eyes. Not how many have grown.

I'm just happy to keep mine alive I do think I might have a new eye coming in though. No big changes to the tank except for slowly raising the alk. If it is a new eye, I'll post a new picture.

The frag is growing well and some more eyes will be soon. They are still small. But now I just wanted to share the growth. Covered the side cut and starting to cover the plug.

I have 4 distinct eyes now

Bad pic but I turned up the blues so the eyes would stand out

3 New eyes. TOTAL : 9 eyes

First picture pasted is a power point slide with arrows to help point where the eyes are and the numbers. The slide lose quality when saved as a picture

After the slide , the following ones have been taken today Dec. 17 and you will see better what the arrows pointed on the slide. These 3 pictures have better definition. Unfortunately I need to take the pictures with the actinic lights to be able to see well the eyes.

Could be there is one more, but I am not sure yet. So for today I will declare officialy the 3 new eyes, with a total of 9.
