I'm going to drill a 72GL bowfront with basic drains and returns, just looking for opinions on how many drains 1 or 2, what the measurement on placement of holes, looking to do a corner drain or drains.

Whats the Plan for the overflow? Are you placing it center? I would drill 2 holes in the Center in the Base. 1 1/4" Drain, and a 1" Return. But that could change in regards, to what drain you are planning on. What are your plans for the Drain? Durso? Bean? Stockman?
I see you mention you, prefer a Corner drain? Personally i prefer a center drain/overflow as one overflow is ample for a 72 Gallon Tank.

I believe the bowfront is tempered everywhere but the back. Something to keep in mind before you dig in.

Thats pretty easy to Check! Drilling a tempered Tank is not fun :.
