Doesn’t the raja have black around the yellow?

Just reread your op lol
I agree Black around the yellow. Tell the vendor you’re concerned in a email so you got proof and wait a little while to see if it changes. Sometimes frags loose some color after getting chopped but not a chalice expert

I got it since May and their stock pic look like this. It look similar to their stock pic when i got it at firsy, but once this thing pale out it look like another kind of chalice (name escape me).

Don’t think chalices like a lot of light, think that’s why I can’t keep them

Realy nice chalice. I imagine that it is and tank conditions/ lighting may have it off a bit. If its not real it certainly is almost a dead ringer. The ones ive seen do have a dark ring around the eyes tho

What are your nitrates and phosphates at? Low nutrients or to intense lights will cause colors to fade.

Phosphates should be good at or around .05-.1
Try bringing your nitrates up over 5, I try to keep mine around 10 and it seems to keep the SPS and LPS happy, just my experience or opinion.

That is exactly my goal :) In my case i suspect that refugium may be working too well so i cut down on lighting period.

I have the same problem with the nitrate and phosphates slowly dropping. I keep a bottle of nitrate and a bottle of ReefRoids. I test about once a week and if the nitrates start heading towards 5 I dose a little NItrate and if my phosphates start heading towards .025 I feed a little reef Roids to bring back up lol

Oh that is a good trick. Im dosing nitrate as well but dont know how to boost Phosphate so thank you for the tip (i know nate and phate has inverse correlation and trying to avoid dino issue)

I can see significant improvement in color within a week. Though I may have increased it too fast and RTN this WD.

This is the Raja Rampage. This doesn't look like the pic from the vendor you posted above. I've seen this frag personally, while meeting Jason, and it looks exactly like it does in this photo. Unfortunately, unless you have the same exact parameters and lighting, etc., the color may shift or appear different. It's possible your frag looked like this at some point. I don't know whether or not it would ever shift back if it was a legit Raja Rampage.
