Anyone know what would cause this to the starfish/ anything I can do to help it heal? I Got it yesterday and seemed healthy. I just went to check on it and saw the wound. I have 2 clown fish, 2 damsel, 1 cardinal, 2 peppermint shrimp, & an anenome in the tank. Any advice would be appreciated.

Could be shipping damage. How long did you drip acclimate it for? What are your nitrates like? (Starfish are very sensitive to elevated NO3.)
@Humblefish I dripped for about 2 hrs and 5ppm NO3.
That should be fine then.
It looks like a wound to me. Sometimes with starfish, shipping damage doesn’t show up for a day or two. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of any antibiotics or treatments that starfish will tolerate.@Humblefish Thank you for the help, I appreciate it!That should be fine then.
