25 Waterbox AIO Peninsula with 20 Macro Display

nice shrooms! is the yuma a godzilla? I really want one of those!

i need to post an update pic, but im running a Kessil A360X on my display tank and frag tank, and a Kessil A160WE + Kessil H80 Tuna Flora on my macro algae tank.

pics above are before i set up the frag tank and bought some better equipment. the display tank and macro tank are free of frag racks now and look so much nicer!
Nice man, you have to love that shimmer effect from Kessil! You’ll have to show us some up to date pictures of how the tanks look now.
They are Godzillas I got them from a local BRS member for a great price and have a few grown out. I have some I’d be willing to part ways with for $70/$150 depending on the size. Feel free to PM me, I love talking reef.

the macro tank acts as a manual sump. i control the pumps throughout the day to exchange water according to nutrient levels and other factors

Cool concept! Can you explain more about how (and why) you are doing the above? Does it involve any water testing? Or more time-based? Sounds pretty different than the steady-state tanks most people try to run!

So basically I have a small pump in each tank, but because of their elevation difference and slight tube length difference, water flows out of my display tank slightly faster than it flows in. I start by pumping water into my display until it's as high as I feel comfortable with, then I plug in the other pump so they run at the same time. I sit near the tank and let it keep going until I hear the return flow start to "spray" on the surface if the water. This is also my excuse to oxygen scrub the corals each day. I normally do all of this after feeding them. I love working on my tank and staring at it for half the day so I enjoy being able to interact with it daily. I only have to test one tank after exchanging the water for a bit
