What color wall makes tank "pop" most?

What colored wall behind a tank makes for the best look? Curious about everyone's opinion and please feel free to share pictures as well!

Personally, I think the light blue color makes everything pop. Mine is painted black and had coralline growing all over and I cant really see it. Lol.

I am talking about the physical wall of the house/basement not back of the tank sorry. Funny I searched this topic and found most replies on R2R and more than half of the answers were back of tank paint not actual wall.

I went with a blue wall. Its called “loyal blue” from sherwin williams.

I also considered doing a wood panel wall like this..

I guess I misread it. LOL. Mine is a tannish brown color but doesn't really make the tank pop. I guess it would depend on how much light spill you have, sand and coral colors.

Guaranteed that wood would get ruined by salty air fairly quickly.

I would have to agree. The old tank that was 45'd in the corner ruined the drywall while being there for the past 9-10 years.

I’ve always favored some type of blue to go with the whole reef theme.

I got not really a choice. Our wall is usually some shade of gray.
As long as the tank is away from the wall such that you can walk around it, salt spray wouldn’t be a problem. Perhaps cover up the overflow box with an acrylic piece.

Mine is dark green. I believe its Sherwood Forest from Benjamin moore. We also have a bold feature wall with dark rich colors to the left of the tank which seem to complement each other. Depending on your tank location and room i would say dark colors make the tank more of a focal point

Current wall in the basement is field stone/rock foundation painted light gray so I shouldn't have the salt spray issue plus old set up wasn't ideal for keeping salt spray in check while this one is much better and it stays contained within the sump.

That is awesome! I do seem to think darker walls makes it look really good my only issue is it's a small basement with low ceilings so dark wall might make it look even smaller. I know painting the ceiling white would help but not sure painting ceiling is an option.
