Received my rotifers kit from Reef Nutrition this afternoon and with it being Bday, I figured I'd setup tomorrow. Sometime during supper the spotcinctus laid another clutch. Hoping to rear these into some cutie patooties.

Did a 50 gallon WC today and as soon as I smelled what the rock was cooking I knew all too well what it was. Time to put the heaters on a maintenance time out.

Ouch. I purchased the aqueon preset heaters that are "shatter" proof and @dz6t suggested them as they don't need have the dial to adjust them so less chance for them to leak and break. Shockingly I haven't swapped them out but heaters suck. There's a reason they're the number one thing that causes tank issues and glad I finally added multiple layers of redundancy!

Picked up two dottybacks from Roger Williams University at FFM on Saturday along with a dozen lysmata wurdemanni peppermints.Have only seen one fish since. 10 Red Banded Trochus from @BackwoodsReefs for a killer deal. These are the majority of the he snails inside because they right themselves up when flipped over. 5 RFA's from Jason at Pristine Marine Aquariums of Long Island because my girl wanted a garden.

Two headed hammer from @Chris.Reef

Got a much needed cleanup crew from @Chris A.
20 lysmata wurdemanni peppermints
100 dwarf ceriths, 25 ceriths and 50 astreas
Peps in the sump putting in work, I may just rotate rocks for the time being from the DT. Was hoping to have the rock scape free of aptasia and cemented in place but it'll have to wait as I'm finally going under the knife after 6.5 years of pain and misery. L4,L5, S1 Anterior and posterior spinal fusion in 10 days. So looking forward to being pain free, even if it is only 20% but according to surgeon, it's a 97% reduction.

Picked up an Australian Stripey last week from Kevin at @All Things Aquatic to help out with Aptasia control. The female spotcinctus clown and the stripey decimated 4 RFA'S but I have witnessed it picking at the aptasia, so you win some and you lose some.
