If I were to guess it seems like my Dino is transitioning into Cyano. If true this is a far easier battle to manage. Before, it was more brown bubbly and stringy. Now it’s more reddish brown with films sheeting the sand bed.

could be both and maybe cyano is out competing the dinos

Be careful with a trident above tank water i have had one leak before and that would not be good in you situation. Mine almost dripped into tank was very close. Also am never concerned about algea In a new tank untill its about 4 months old depending on substrate and rock age. I am gonna put my money on the hippo is the nipper I don't have them in my reefs with eating zoas and clams in my tanks before.

Clam looking happy today. Still debating if I should rehome trigger and melanarus. Caught them on doggy cam taking a nip at the clam. Looks more like curious behavior for now

Yes! It came in yesterday. Went to Home Depot and completely failed trying to install the plumbing for it. If anyone reads this and is decent with plumbing and can offer help! Please lmk!!! Need to fit a female npt to my return and possible some 90degree npts to barb on return but not sure where to find the right fitting connector. Have to rotate this unit so outputs facing up as well but man I’m so tight on space

Into a threaded collar that threads into the uv. The smallest step is about .80” so I’m planning to run 3/4”

I’m lucky to have a girl that loves the hobby as much as me… well maybe not as much as me. I obsess over it lol. But love to get updates while I’m at work. Clam is doing better everyday! Mantle extension is really coming out now.

Naso has definitely become one of my favorite tangs. So cute and kind personality. In Vietnam we call them monkey face tangs hahaha

Have everything mapped out for my new tank... A lot in the works. Working with a lot of different companies to try and incorporate a sponsored build. So far, I got approval from Bashsea to use their 44 Pro line Sump & ATO. Wicked excited for that! Also working closely with Bulk Reef Supply in order to obtain some miscellaneous equipment.

Wondering if I should make a new build thread or just build off of this one? Have made a rough model of the main pieces for the tank. Take a look!
