don’t forget your gate valve on your main drainWill be my first time hard plumbing... Was a little nervous but feeling a lot more confident now that I have a majority of it modeled View attachment 220727
as well as the (2) return lines gate valves to be able to balance returns flow evenly. also unions are your best friendWill be my first time hard plumbing... Was a little nervous but feeling a lot more confident now that I have a majority of it modeled View attachment 220727
Lol you’re just old. But gate valves on returns to even them out how come you have on off valves on yoursman you influencers you want it all Lol!!
I added a check valve on my return pump as wellas well as the (2) return lines gate valves to be able to balance returns flow evenly. also unions are your best friend
Thanks Paul. I was looking into the mechanism of how they work and asked myself the same thing. Definitely will have it mounted vertically! LolMount that check valve vertically, not too sure about its operation horizontally.
ha ya i mean ball valves ya got me thereLol you’re just old. But gate valves on returns to even them out how come you have on off valves on yours
Ayeeeeeeeee im learning lol. Still nervous about plumbing but hey im learning. Question you got any advice on what to do about that long bottom piece of pvc that connects the right return to the left return? They don't sell pipe that long and I'm afraid that's a lot of weight once running? Should i just cut in half and get unions to break it up? Or is there a better route to route this channel?ha ya i mean ball valves ya got me there
get rid of the 3 way 90 and use a tee fittingNevermind Corey. Im looking at your plumbing and you have something similiar haha
It wouldn’t hit the sump if I did that. That’s way I went for the 3 way corner fittingget rid of the 3 way 90 and use a tee fitting
Oof ok thanks! I read about people using those 2 in 1 primer + cement products. Would those be okay to use?Nothing to be scared about with plumbing. Just dry fit and then use primer then cement. Also like Corey said use a tee instead of the 90 three way. Water likes to go the route of least resistance and if you use the 90 three way the majority will just want to go up the right side return and you will have to significantly throttle it down.
Are you using schedule 80 or 40?Oof ok thanks! I read about people using those 2 in 1 primer + cement products. Would those be okay to use?
