Angels!!!! GRRRRR.....

I have now lost three angels in my tank.

Coral Beauty, 1.5", never ate, hid most of the time, and died within a week.

Lemon Peel, 2", very active, swam around the front alot, didn't eat much, lasted 2.5 weeks.

Flame Angel, 1.5", very active, ate everything, lasted 1.5 months

I feed a wide variety of foods. I have noticed that my sail fin has been showing quite a bit lately. The Flame didnt have a mark on it though.

90 Gallon tank, twin 250 MH and twin t5s, ... Flame has been only angel for a while. Coral beauty was only angel at the time. Peel was with the flame for it's entire time but never fought.

All tank specs are excellent and other livestock including anemone and coral are thriving.

where did you get them from ( i am not asking for a store name just if it was a lfs ,online , or private) it is hit or miss if you dont see the fish actually eating befor you buy. your best bet would be to watch the for sale forum and go with a angel from a member that is established and eating

Were the fish eating in the store? I think this might be a big clue as to the problem.

For fish to eat in the store and not eat in your tank, that points to something wrong with your system. If the fish were not eating in the store, well, those probably weren't the best choices of fish.

If the fish were eating in the store and they did okay for a while before wasting away, that points to a capture problem with the fish.

Have you brought this issue up witht he store? In particular, ask about improper capture.

I would suggest finding a new store. There are some really good ones, but you may have to make the drive.

You should be able to get a refund on the fish that died within a week.
