Hydor's Koralia pumps are finally able to be purchased.

Anyone have a link to wavemaker options for using with these?

I have two 4s comming in on the 1st. I don't think you can use them with on off switchers though.

Thats good to hear. Do you have the #3 or #4? I have 2 tunze 6060's My Idea is to have 3 #4's in the back corners and middle. In your opinion do you think I would see a loss or improvement over the Tunzes? I assume you have seen the tunzes because I see LFS employee....

Overall you will have more flow than the 2 tunze's with a wider flow pattern to boot. I have a 1 and 2 and with only the koralia's running I can't hear a thing 3 feet away.

I just ordered two of the #2's for my 65 gallon. Now kinda thinking I should've gone with the #3's (as Josh already reccomended to me :o ). Oh well, getting them in monday and I hope it works out fine. Any thoughts from the rest of the peanut gallery would be appreciated. The tank is going to be lots of zoas, a little SPS, some LPS.

Oh really? For some reason I thought they could be put on wave timers.

Seeing as it won't be mainly sps you should be fine.

I read that the seio controller worked on them. I guess they won't work with a controller that turns them off and on.

Great... I can harldy wait.

uggg, mine seem to be stuck in SAINT PAUL, MN. But I want them now....

Got my #3 today. I am very impressed with the flow. I have it in the same position and height on opposite sides as a Seio1100 and it is night and day with less GPH than the Seio. The Seio throws a small ripple at the surface but the #3 throws erratic crazy ripples at the surface. I am also VERY impressed at how quiet they are, although I never purchased a Tunze. It is a lot quiter than my Seio's were and less wattage.

I hope it is ok to have that much movement at the surface:o

I am considering replacing the Seio with a #4.

They did feel a little cheap to me but it works great. Durability over time will be interesting.

I read on RC that if the magnet should ever become seperated that there are backup suction cups that will hold it up? I didn't realize that when I put it in.

Got two number 4s for my 125 yesterday. I love them. Very quiet and a ton of random flow. The strange thing is the flow is not really directed out of the front of the power head. It stronger at 45 degree angles so it's tough to point them in a particular direction. Personally I like it. The flow from both of them is completely random and there is a ton of it with out there being a danger of it tearing flesh off my corals. Great product for the price.

Got mine today. The flow is VERY gental but seems a lot of water is moving around without clear direction. On the other hand, the construction is cheap at best when compare to Seio or Tunze.

anyone tried moderating this yet?

Dong, so would you say you are happy with your purchase? what model did you get?

Donal.

I got the 4.

The light is off now and I am getting insane! polyps extention from all the SPS colonies. Pooled order any one?

I might in the future get one of them if my return from the sump is not enough flow for my tank.

Using only return from the sump as your main flow is never a good idea. Not only does it decrease the efficiency of your skimmer, but it adds more heat by larger pumps, and more noise from the overflow.

Got my #4's yeaterday. Not bad but I am only going to keep 1 of them. I am posting 2 for sale if anyone is interested. I would trade for a good or high quality refractometer. Just figured I would make a note here.

They are great for the money and are actually quieter than the Tunzes I have. What flow is everywhere which can be good for some tanks. I was going to replace my Tunzes but the Tunzes are just too good.

Got my #3's a couple of days ago and they are generating the kind of water movement I have been trying to reproduce for years, and at minimal cost. I have them on opposite sides of my 120g. I decided to check them out after one of my Mag5's died. I still have 3 other ph's in the tank on timers and a CSD refugium that dumps roughly 5gals of water every couple of minutes. There is also a closed loop powered by a GenX Mach4. With all of that, I am now very satisfied with my water flow.

If I were to start from scratch, I think a Korelia 3 or 4 in each corner would be just right. No need for a closed loop or surge device or any other ph's, IMO. Amazing product for a very reasonable price! I always wanted to get the streams ever since they came out, but couldn't justify the cost. Now I don't need to. I'm not knocking the streams since I've never owned one, but for the reefer on a budget, the Korelia's are the way to go.
