light brown algae

I have a light brown algea starting to cover my rocks and overflow. It`s like a film not hair.just started recently, i don`t know why.Tank is 2 1/2 weeks old at new house 15 gallons of old tank water 65 gallons of new. Salt is 1.021,ammonia 0ppm,ph is 8.2,nitrite is 0 ppm,nitrate was 10 ppm last week.(skimmer working overtime) also having hard time getting calcium up. It`s at 300. i`m using kent turbo-calcium to try to raise it . Refilled with ro water bit cheated sump with some distilled water.

Dont worry about it, your tanks is going to go through a cycle of a few types of algaes in the next few months. You have your brown algae now, your brown and green diatoms tommorow, cyano the next week, maby a few nice patches of hair algae after that :D Its normal, and will come and eventually go as long as you have a decent cleanup crew and your water/lights are good.
