ok, Been having some issues with my Nitrates. Posted In another thread. I think I know have them back in controll and the Nitrates have droped to around 20. Thanks to everyone that helped!!!

Now I have another issue. I have these Clear bubbles commin from my Live Rock. Its like I have an air stone inside of them. Weird. I blow the bubbles off with a power head and they are back in an a few hours. What is this and how do I correct it. Thanks!

It's probably from some algae on the rock if it's happening that fast. Dinoflagellates are the bubbliest in my experience. Brown stringy snotty stuff that produces bubbly foam really fast.

Denitrifying bacteria inside your sand and rock also produce bubbles of gaseous nitrogen sometimes, but that would probably happen much slower than the 02 bubbles that algae will generate during the lights-on hours. Also the nitrogen bubbles should appear day and night. Gas from nusiance algae really has a clear relationship to when the lights are on.

Yes I noticed that its worse the longer the lights are on. I did have an outbreak of cyano and some of it is still around and now that you mention it the bubbles are mostly in those areas. I added some Chemiclean a week or so ago. Should i give it another dose and I also have a water change comming this weekend.
