Thoughts on WaterGeneral RO 6102 DINT

Got it after several recommendations on this forum. I don't think I saw anyone talking negatively about it. I certainly would recommend it also. Definitely worth a lot more than the cost IMO. I stuck with the micron filter it comes with. If you look into it a little the company talks about swapping sources for their filter not too long ago. They seem to know their stuff and certainly have sold a lot of them as I know at least a dozen or so BRS people who own them. Have had mine about 2 mos. and really like it so far. No issues. They also have a tech support line as I had a small issue when setting it up and they were really helpful.

**Referring to WaterGeneral unit, sorry didn't see your other post in time!

I have the RD-106 model.
It's works just fine with no need to change anything.:)

I run this model. I would add the optional manual flush valve for the RO filter. In a perfect world, the 100gpd RO membrane would be replaced with a 75GPD membrane, becuase the 75GPD membrane has a higher rejection value.

I ran mine, and made a LOT of water with the 100gpd membrane, I just REPLACED it with the 75GPD one.

I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Jay is correct I would try and get one with a 75/day memberane and standard 10 cartridge DI, instead of the two inline DI. One 10" cartridge is that same amount as the 2 inline and easier to find DI cartridges locally if you in a bind.

I have the 106 and I love it. I would highly highly recommend getting the storage tank. You really don't need 2 DI but the storage tank is awesome. Now when I make kalkwasser I don't have to wait for the unit to make small amounts of water. I also have mine hooked up to my fridge water dispenser and ice maker which is great. But I don't think you would have enough flow to run it to the fridge without the tank.

FWIW, the RO housing they sent me had a hole in it. They replaced it with no problems and at no additional cost to me.

hehe..

Again!

I have the RD-102 not sure the difference... wait it's the same one.

0 TDS all I can say..

I added a different add on DI setup too.

Why did you add two Dual TDS meters? I just put one of the meters after the RO and the other after the DI, the incoming water is not that important and having two TDS meters seems like a waste of money IMO.

Shh...

I actually bought one TDS meter about a year ago and had "lost" it.. I found it about 2 days after I hooked up the new one.
