Where do you dump your saltwater waste from a water change?

I've been a little skeptical in dumping it in my drain pipe. The drain dumps to the city sewer line but my concern is the salt that may linger in my pipes. The volume of my waste water will be ~40gal/occurrence for my newly acquired 180gal tank/30gal sump.

For my old 75gal, I've been dumping the water in my yard but considering its about 23deg today, I dont think I want to do that this winter. :D

How have you guys been dumping your dirty water?

I throw mine out in the yard.
Mostly over where poison ivy likes to grow.

I thought about boiling it on the woodstove and reclaiming the salt for the driveway.
But I think the smell would be a little over the top.

Right down the slop sink drain for mine. If you're concerned about the salt sitting in your pipes, let the cold water run for a minute or 2 after you are done.

haha

outside on the sidewalk in fall river....and if it makes the gutter than so be it...the other night i set up my long syphon and ran it straight to the street...i mean c'mon guys, who doesn't love the smell of low tide!

Just don't flush any macro algae down the drain... esp grape culpera (spelling is horrible) because it could spread in the ocean and kill natural live even up here in NE...

In my neighbors wooded yard (he can't see me his house is a ways off).
