THis is great just bought a new laptop question. Everything showed up as mentioned however reading through the fine print it states.

How do I go about doing this? As for the cash back do they wire it into your account or should it show the payment reduced by this amount?

all you need is a live.com account.

you can set one up here:

http://www.live.com/

go to the login link at top left. you can then sign up for an account .

cashback will be directly deposited to your live.com cashback account after 60 days. you can then transfer from live.com to paypal. no fees are taken out btw.

Also, you should get a message from eBay about the Cash Back. You need to click the link in the message to associate your Live Cash Back accout to your eBay account, then you will get the cash back deposited.

It still works.
Go to live.com and search for "Gold Coins" you will see the "25%" off on the top of the results page.

This does sometimes go away and then come back, but its there now.

my PP email account is not associated with my Winblows live account...wonder if that's the problem

It shouldn't be. As long as you have a live.com account, an eBay account and a Paypal account all in good standing then you should be good to go.

The first time I used Gold Coin I had to wait 60 days for the cashback. It listed as "pending" whenever I checked my live account. Once I cleared the 60 days, I had to claim the cashback from my Live.com account and send it to my Paypal account. They did that to ensure that I didn't immediately return the auction item and keep the cashback. So maybe they initially do that for the first purchase.
