Hope this doesn't violate some informal Internet etiquette here: Another site FS for 300 bucks (50-60 eyes of Tyree War Coral)
Since times are tough, anybody want to go in on this? I'm in Boston.
@ 50 polyps we're only talking 6 bucks an eye here

It appears to have had the red cranked up a little bit and the blue cranked up alotta bit, and the yellow pops a bit more than it would under actinics.....then again, it could just be wicked colorful corals under wicked good actinics.

Sadly, I have no money and my tank is zoa/paly only for now :(

doesn't look touched to me... looks like vibrant colors... but a lot of the time when amateurs photo shop pictures, you can tell my looking at the background of the subject. The background of this looks like the colors are normal...

just because something looks good in a picture doesn't mean it's been altered... lots of zoas for instance can look STUNNING in photography, but then in the tank the color is still nice, but not quite as vivid as the picture would suggest.

I was basing my assumption off the eggcrate in the picture...that's a vicious shade of blue for actinics, unless it's just a much bluer actinic than I'm used to

I'd also like to note that I'm partially color blind, purple and blue are hard for me to distinguish between :p

Those are called Aussie Hellboys and theyre usually that vibrant under actinics.

Its a hard call, if it is photoshop nice job. Though it does look a little blue and the green looks a little jacked up as well. Though for the price I am sure it is a stunning piece.

i see where you are coming from, but i think it's just coralline under an actinic personally.

I never said that things can't look stunning. Just the green in it and the rings around it looked a little cranked up to me. The background does look natural though

Looks as close to untouched as you're going to get to me :)

I've got 2 other people in on this so it's 100 bucks for 18-20 eyes (Which go for around 30 bucks an eye anywhere else). The more people the cheaper it works out to be :D and the quicker we can spread this baby around the club ;)

BTW, This is true Tyree War Coral.

I'm possibly interested only if a few more people get in on this deal... Too much other stuff wanted right now to get for the kind of money it'll cost now...

But I have a few questions... Where would it be shipped to/pick up? Who's gonna frag it whoever it gets shipped to or the seller?

Same here. Like a few more details.

I plan on having the whole colony shipped to me in Boston (02119) Literally 3 minutes from Skiptons. I plan on having the fragging done locally by a reefer/vendor very experienced with LPS.
I could hold any frags until whenever PU could happen, no rush on this end...
Oh, also could meet in Cambridge or a reasonable distance from either location.

It's not a vendor. As mentioned at the beginning of the thread it's a FS from another site.
If it makes anyone feel better, I'm fronting the money for those interested.
Here's a flash shot for those who requested.

If it is around $6 a head, I will take 2 to 3 hds . I would like to have it so I could compare it against the two variety of war coral that I already have.
