RO System Replacement Parts

I went to install my RO unit last night and the fitting that connects to two housings together has a split in the threads. I have search everywhere today to see if I can find a replacement and I am waiting to hear back from Purely H20. The piece I am looking for is 1/4" NPT (Male thread to male thread). Every one I have called or stopped by today has it in either brass or copper. Anyone have any ideas where I can get a replacement?

Both CRA and Sea Creatures are closed today so those two are my last hope tomorrow for it locally. I bough the unit from Jeremy at CRA.

Yup, Home Depot or Lowe's should have what you are looking for. If you truly can't find one local, there is always www.mcmaster.com - they have a warehouse close by and products usually arrive the next day. I just looked up the part for you.

Not here I went to both, also G&M Plumbing Supply, Seekonk Supply, and Plumbing Supply Warehouse. All have them in brass or copper.

UncleJT - thanks, I may end up having to order it

You need to find the right spot. I said the same thing a while ago then I walked around the corner and everything was there :)

and don't rely on employees to know anything. Both HD and Lowe's here have a decent selection of John Guest and other Nylon fittings for ice-makers and water filters.

They have those fittings, just have to find them in the right section.

Worst to worst you may be able to use a pair of John Guest X threaded fittings and a short section of tubing in between.

I went to 3 Lowes and 3 HD's and could not find it I walk every isle. So I just got 2 threaded 90 degree elbow and had to drill the mounting bracket to give me a little more room between the two housings.

And with 48 TDS from the house filter system I get 000 TDS out :)

Now I think I need to get a booster pump cause I am only getting about 35PSI

Where are you reading the 35PSI?

Are you on a well or city / town water.

35 PSI is a bit low, you may want to add a booster pump at some point. 40 PSI is the minimum I like to run at with 60 PSI being ideal. Not sure what I am going to be at on the 3rd floor of this old apartment. I see a booster pump in my future as well. :(

They dont keep them in the plumbing, they are with the nylon fittings. Hardware stores are better choices for stuff like that.
