The Green 120 Tech Softy's Tank Upgrade

It all looks good. But didn't you say it was supposed to be a green build? As in environmentally friendly? Because IMO using what looks like an aerosol spray paint can to paint something that nobody sees isn't really that "green". I will say however that it does look pretty sharp.

errr... i think he was referring to the watt draw on his equipment..

There is nothing "green" about our hobby, but if someone wants to use lower watt-draw equipment for both a lower electric bill and to try and help do a bit of their part for the world, i'm not going to object?

Funny don't worry my wife wants to be green so sometimes I use it against it like I might need to get a LED fixture LOL so I've been reading here books. But I'm sure something I'm doing is not green. Nobody is perfect;)

A used tank would have been greener but the new tank looks stunning. Also, isn't it ironic that those "green books" are printed on paper.

A new tank will last longer and that is one of the reasons I'm replacing my 75. The books are printed on recycled paper with soy ink, so they are also green in themselves.:)

OK, I'm happy with the custom section for my sump it came in and it looks sweet. The Skimmer fits and I still can get to the bags with ease. Here are some pictures of what I came up with the bag holders. Hope you enjoy it.:) Look at all the room I still have to play.:D

Yes Kevin was thinking of upgrading my son tank after the softy's.

Dang Ronnie.....I didn't know you were made of $$$, upgrading both tanks:eek:. I guess the second one will get the Bubble King Mini:p.

Sweet set up Ronnie. Can't wait to see what you put together. Love the Red Trip. A little OCD? :p

Just thought i'd say it before anyone else does ronnie (cause everyone's thinking it)...

You'd be silly to not use that equipment towards an SPS tank ;).

Thank you everyone for the kind words, but I'm in competition with a friend for softies I hope size doesn't matter because I will lose. :D

Be honest Ron, that last book, "green chic", is yours not your wifes'

and that sump really came out nice. exactly the way I pictured it when you explained.
