Ranco Controller Purchase . . . Finally!

pesto

Keeping it Simple!
Well I finally did it. I read the posts and went with most reefers high recommendation to control the heaters . . . a "Ranco ETC-111000 Temperature Controller". Tired of dealing with heaters that stick on and raise the temperature. So happy that I went forward with the purchase. Hopefully, I can get some piece of mind now! $75 is a small price to pay for finally correcting this problem once and for all.

Been using mine since 2005 with no probs! Love it.. Even used it for my chicken, geese, quail, pheasant, duck and turkey eggs as a controller for the hatchery while I took a break from this hobby.. Replaced the probe when I returned to the hobby but other than that and the buttons no longer work its great.. Stuck at 82 degrees now so need to replace the buttons to reset the temps..

Good. My big tank is controlled by my AC Jr. but I will be buying a Ranco for my nano next week before something goes wrong. 100% needed.

I have been using that same Ranco model and I have been very pleased with it. It really keeps the Tank temperture with in 1 degree diffrence.

For $99 you could get the Reef Keeper Lite. I know its alittle more, but you get ALOT more.
