TO ALL MEMBERS OF BRS NATION!!! WE HAVE A CALL TO ARMS!!!

Got a little too excited when fragging that awesome coral and
snipped off a few too many branches?

Have a bunch of extra frags cluttering up your frag rack?

Have a bunch of great equipment lying around taking up
valuable reef storage space?

Buy liquid calcium instead of powdered calcium?

Got a pesky urchin that likes to re-arrange your tank?

Curious what to do with them? Donate them!!!

That's right!!! We're holding our annual member's auction on Sunday March 6th and we need your help!!!

Every year the member's auction proves to be one of the biggest source of funds for the club and it goes a long way in providing all the meetings and services for the members... 100% of the proceeds goes directly back into the club. We have some fantastic things in the works for you guys and gals and these funds make it possible for us to do them.

So it's now time for you to help us!!! We're looking for corals, livestock, equipment or supplies...

It's time to dig into your frag collection and find the unusual stuff that will generate a lot of interest at auction. Corals, fish, or invertebrates will all be accepted, but please make sure what you donate is something that there will be a market for. Large, non-reef-safe fish, or invertebrates might not sell well.

As far as equipment donations go we'll be accepting either used or new reef equipment. Please keep it related to the hobby. If possible please try to clean up the equipment to make it presentable, and make sure you supply accurate information about the equipment (eg. needs new pump, runs fine, tank leaks but...).

When submitting your donation please list the following

Username
Real name
Item (i.e Superman Monti, Tunze 6100Stream etc)
Desciption of the item
Photo if you have it. (photos really help)
Can you deliver to the Auction?
Do you need to arrange pickup? (please include contact info if you need to make arrangements and myself or another BOD member will arrange pickup)

We will be setting up a way to showcase all the fabulous stuff that gets donated within the next few weeks

Please send an email with a photo (if you have one) of any item you plan to donate to

auction at bostonreefers dot org

Last minute donations the day of are welcome but the more time we have to promote the donations the more everybody gets to drool :p

Thank you in advance for all your efforts helping out the club!!! We really appreciate it!!!

If you have any questions please pm myself...

thank you to all members who will donating, and also to those who will be bidding on those donations :)

Make sure your daughter gets your paddle again this year and I think it will be pretty successful!

I don't think we'll be bidding this year.

I'm going to try my hardest to make it. It'll be my first time since I'm new to the forum, but I've heard that the auction is awesome! I'll say it's my own early bday gift :-D I cant wait!

It will be at the Framing location... There will be an official announcement shortly after the Feb Meeting...

When your done with yours, Come over here... Has to be when Bob is at work though HEHE... Easier to get forgiveness then permission...

Don't forget to get those items rounded up for the auction!!! If you aren't able to make the auction but want to donate pm me as I have the next 2 weeks off with not much to do so I could probably arrange to grab them for you!!!

Quick clarification... The "unusual" items request is just a preference... Beginner corals and common corals are gladly accepted... One of the things I'm donating is a big rock of GSP :D
