In my 4' 120 it was a to much direct flow and this is my solution.Instead of being on and end pane, it's out of site somewhat on the back and gives me a broader adjustable flow.A tee,pipe and elbow.First pic is from the opposite end and second one from the front.

Very good, the first output is about the same diameter as the pump itself and the elbow is only 3/8" so overall works great for me.
