10k MH bulbs

Check out Coralvue Reeflux 12k, suppose to have similar look to the Pheonix 14ks

I switched from 10k XDEs to 15K XDE and love the color. It is white with a slight blue. I used to run actinics with the 10ks now I don't have to except if you want dawn and twilight effects. Someone did bring up a good point, have you run some carbon in your tank recently? If you have high organics, your water will look more yellow under 10ks.

I always run carbon and replace a small amount monthly because I have both SPS and a large number of zoa's, I dont want any strange chemical warfare. I went with the 10k for more par, the 14 or 15k will not give me the par I'm looking for right now even though the color would be much more pleasing but thank you for the sugestions :)

You should be aware that going from 10K XDE to 15 K XDE you lost 59% of your 'coral useable' light (PAR). From Sanjay's site, on a PFO HQI ballast the 10K XDE gives 109 PPFD, the 15K gives 45 (these are the shielded values).

The 14K Phoenix bulb on the same ballast gives 88 PPFD. A drop of almost 20% from the 10K XDE, but I think you will find the bulb quite blue.
