14" Fish in a bucket.. how far can I travel?

I am trying to re-home a 14" Engineer Goby that does not really fit in my 40B (unintended fish but here he is..). How far would it be reasonable to travel with the fish in one of those standard construction buckets with 5ish gallons of his tank water with a blanket over it?

I would put in a piece of PVC so he has some amount of "burrow".

Is a small heater plugged with a one of those portable lithium batteries worth trying?

Thanks!

I'd add a portable air stone for oxygen aeration as well

I used a 500watt battery bank for heat and circulation in 2 44 gallon brute barrels. It lasted over 24 hrs. The barrels were half to 2/3rds full. Kept in the back of my highlander when a former member shut down his system. Also had a petco airpump with a stone in each. No losses.
Good luck.

Do you recall what wattage heater did you used?

I've gone out to NH and or other parts and have had to drive home an hour or 2 and have never had any issues with my fish traveling in a bucket

air and moderated heat and you'll be fine... Make sure you constantly check the heat though because even with a smaller heater it can still get the water to hot being in such a small bucket. when I acclimate fish I have to constantly unplug the heater because it just gets to hot
