2011 election meeting

Year end 2011 election meeting and Members yard sale. (Last scheduled meeting for the year)

The next BRS meeting will be held Saturday Dec 17th, at the Framingham Elks, 450 Union Ave, Framingham, MA. 12noon -4 PM - Members Yard sale

We will also be electing the BRS BOD for 2011. That means ALL officer positions will be up for election. Details about running, etc. are here:

Only paid members are allowed to vote

Tentative schedule for the meeting (this schedule may change, check back to this thread for updates as we get closer to the day of the meeting):

12noon - 12:30pm - Meet and greet, yard sale registration, new members registration - folks milling about chatting about their tanks - library book signout and return - turn samples in for water testing -

12:00 PM - 1pm - Yard sale setup

1pm - 1:30pm - Announcements /2010 candidates make speeches

1:30pm -2:00pm Election held

1:30 - 4 pm - yard sale- general member to member reef chat, and cleanup

Reminder: we try our best to keep the meeting on time, but there are a lot of things that are out of our control, so the times are subject to change, do not take these times as gospel please. Check back to this thread for updates as we get closer to the day of the meeting.

Yard sale details:

The Yard sale will consist of Equipment you want to get rid of but we will also allow livestock

There will be a nominal table charge of $20 per table($10 for paid members) for anyone who wants to ‘lease space’ to set up a tank/yardsale table. This is a registration fee. You are generally expected to bring your own junk/tank/lighting/bags/extension cords/markers for the yardsale/tanks/water/towels for cleanup, etc.

what do I have to do to get a table or something set up for the yardsale, I recently stopped keeping freshwater except for a few under 10 gallon tanks and have several 20h 20l 29 10 and several other sizes, and a ton of equipment and I don't know if this is fish only for the yard sale, but my finance and I used to breed small animals and recently stopped to gain more free time, and have tons of cages, animal only tanks, reptile set ups, all sorts of equipment and bird cages we are looking to sell

The yard sale will consist of equipment and livestock from your fish tanks or old equipment. No other items are allowed outside of the hobby scope

Show up and pay at the door. You need to supply anything you might need as we give you is a table the rest is up to you.

Just a suggestion, but will the BOD or moderators start a thread next week where people who intend to buy a table and bring stuff can list it? I know posting for sale items without a price is against club rules but we might make an exception to allow people to list items without a price they intend to bring. Thread should be cleaned of all comments, just posts of people's lists. I will be getting a table with a few items and livestock.

Looks like I'll totally be a go for this meeting My surgery went really well and I feel like I could go back to work today but I guess I'll follow the doctor's orders and take a week off... I don't know how I'll manage
